Dr. Singh was born in Nashville, TN and currently lives with his wife and son in the High Desert in Southern California where he enjoys many sport activities especially long distance running, snow skiing, table tennis, golf, jet skiing and weight training. He has always been involved in sports and currently runs 40 + miles per week. He also enjoys playing the piano. He is actively involved in his community and has performed charitable surgeries in Columbia, South America, Honduras and Mexico. He did his undergraduate studies at UCLA and his medical training at the California College of Podiatric Medicine. The last year of his Podiatric Medical School was at USC. He then did his surgical residency training at VA West Los Angeles.
Dr. Singh is internationally trained and to further advance his surgical skills he did several advanced surgical courses and mini-Fellowship in Russian and in Greece in deformity correction using the complex Ilizarov External Fixation device. He also completed a Fellowship in Leg lengthening and Traumatology and Deformity Correction using the Ilizarov Methodology in Russia. Dr. Singh is one of only a select few Foot and Ankle Surgeons to have had the privilege of this type of intense training. This specialized and very complex surgical procedure allows Dr. Singh to treat deformities that otherwise would be almost impossible to correct. Dr. Singh also had a formal training in Microsurgery at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, New York where he acquired the art of specialized tissue handling and meticulous dissection using a powerful microscope. Currently, Dr. Singh is the Chief Ilizarov Surgical Instructor at a 3 year surgical residency program at Doctors Hospital West Covina where he teaches surgical residents the art of advanced surgery to help train future Foot and Ankle surgeons. He is Board Certified in both Foot Surgery, and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
